Following their humiliation at the hands of Pakistan, Nepal got off to a promising start but were unable to pick up the pace in the middle and towards the conclusion. Aasif Sheikh, the wicketkeeper, scored 58 runs, and Sompal Kami contributed 48 runs later in the order. For India, Ravindra Jadeja (3/40), a left-arm spinner, had the best bowling performance.

Aasif Sheikh, a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman for the Nepalese cricket team, was born on January 22, 2001 (Nepal).He made his Nepali debut in April 2021 against the Netherlands. He represents Pokhara Paltan in the Pokhara Premier League and the Armed Police Force Club in the Mayor’s Cup competition in Kathmandu.

Sompal Kami (cricketer)

Leading pace bowler from Nepal, Sompal Kami, bowls at about 140 kph. Through the Nepali Cricket Fan Club, Sompal entered Kathmandu Region No. 3 for the first time. He was a key member of Kathmandu Region No. 3’s U-19 National Championship-winning team. With both the bat and the ball, he had an outstanding tournament. He amassed 2 tonnes of points and had outstanding bowling statistics. Kami made sure his father’s enthusiasm for cricket persisted even after he moved there for work. He continued to participate in competitions at the high school level and later joined the Indian Premier Corporate League.

In the 2014 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, Kami was subsequently chosen for the Nepal national cricket squad. In the Qualifier, he participated in six List A games and recorded 8 wickets with a high of 3/35. Later, he was a member of the Nepali team for the 2014 World T20 and recorded a personal high 2/13 with 4 wickets in 3 games.

He totaled 15 wickets in the 2014 ACC Premier League in Malaysia, winning the award for the best bowler of the competition. He had an excellent number of wickets, including a personal best of 5/47 against Malaysia.
