Shubman Gill, an Indian batsman, moved up one spot on Wednesday to take fourth place among batters in one-day international cricket’s ICC rankings.

Shubman Gill of India moved up one spot on Wednesday to take over fourth place among ODI batsmen in the ICC rankings, while Jasprit Bumrah of pace and Ravi Bishnoi of spin both improved in the shortest format.

In the most recent ODI rankings, which the ICC issued following the first ODI between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Gill is now India’s top-ranked hitter with 743 rating points.

India’s captain for the Ireland series, comeback kid Bumrah, rose seven ranks to 84th place, while Bishnoi rose 17 spaces to 65th.

Ruturaj Gaikwad rose 143 spots to 87th after scoring 58 against Ireland in the second T20I.

Despite missing the Ireland series, Suryakumar Yadav continues to be the best batter in T20 internationals.

In ODIs, Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Imam Ul Haq currently hold the top two slots, while Indian stalwarts Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma are still in the ninth and eleventh positions, respectively.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, a spin bowling pair from India, are the world’s best bowler and all-arounder in Test matches.
