At the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati on Sunday, Novak Djokovic triumphed over Carlos Alcaraz, and he lavishly celebrated.

In the tournament’s final, Djokovic defeated Alcaraz 5-7, 7-6 (7), and 7-6 (4). He lost the first set, and it appeared as though he might not be able to finish the match because of some sort of health problem.

In the second set, he was down 2-4 and even held off a match point. But Djokovic came back to take the second set, and after outlasting Alcaraz in the third set’s tiebreak, he went on to win the title. The Masters 1000 best-of-three finals match was the longest ever at 3:48.Djokovic collapsed to the ground in shock after his victory. Then he stood up, shook hands with his adversary, and tore his shirt apart like Hulk Hogan.

Some people soon viewed the contest as one of the best three-set matchups in recent memory when it became an instant classic.

For Djokovic, it was his 39th Masters 1000 victory overall. Given that the two battled for nearly four hours in 90-degree weather, it was probably his hardest-earned victory in the championship round.
