Prior to their debut, the group was first signed to Jeon Hong Joon’s former business Star Crew Entertainment and then moved to ATTRAKT. The organisation has made claims about financial irregularities, implying erroneous transfers of money, debts, and more between the two businesses.

FIFTY FIFTY controversy

In order to request the suspension of their exclusive contracts with their agency, FIFTY FIFTY filed a lawsuit in June. Later, the court attempted to arbitrate the dispute between the parties, but members of FIFTY FIFTY stated they had no intention of doing so. The group brought legal action against the organisation the next day. The trial for their prior case will now resume.

On the other hand, Warner Music Korea and The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il (who previously oversaw the creation of FIFTY FIFTY’s music) were accused of luring the band away from ATTRAKT and its CEO, who claimed that “external entities” were at work. Ahn and three other people were the targets of a new lawsuit alleging fraud, duty violations, and business obstruction. Warner Music Korea has refuted all of the accusations.

Four people make up FIFTY FIFTY: Sio, Saena, Aran, and Keena. The group, which Attrakt founded, made their public debut in November 2022 with their EP The Fifty.
